Jennifer Streit is an animal lover who has become an animal healer. Jennifer has always loved her dogs and cats so when Buddy, her dachshund, had his legs paralyzed due to a ruptured disc in his back, Jennifer made the transition from her focus as a people therapist to a dog healer. Buddy is now fully recovered and loves his weekly massage. Jennifer’s skills as a healer encompass massage, end of life therapy, many forms of energy treatment, including Reiki; color and gemstone healing . She is a Reiki Master and a Licensed Massage Practitioner with an endorsement as a Small Animal Massage Practitioner.
She also has a master’s degree in counseling and has worked in community mental health since 1989. Her counseling background gives her a unique understanding of her animal clients and their guardians.
Jennifer shares her home with Jake, a Blue Heeler, age 13; Abby, a Golden Retriever, age 11; Dancin, a Japanese Chin age 10; Dakota, a cocker/pom age 15; Izzy, a Yorkie, age 4; and two Dachshunds Buddy, age 17 and Penny, age 11.
