Jennifer Streit is an animal lover who has become an animal healer. Jennifer has always loved her dogs and cats so when Buddy, her dachshund, had his legs paralyzed due to a ruptured disc in his back, Jennifer made the transition from her focus as a people therapist to a dog healer. Jennifer’s skills as a healer encompass massage, end of life therapy and many forms of energy treatment, including Reiki; color and gemstone healing . She is a Reiki Master and a Licensed Massage Practitioner with an endorsement as a Small Animal Massage Practitioner.
She also has a master’s degree in counseling and has worked in community mental health since 1989. Her counseling background gives her a unique understanding of her animal clients and their guardians.
Jennifer shares her home with Daisy & Copper, Golden Retrievers ages 10 & 11, Dancin, a Japanese Chin age 13; Izy, a Yorkie, age 7; Dachshunds Penny, age 14 &, Otis, age 16 and the cat Cali age 13 In addition to her massage practice, Jennifer works part time at Pet Elements, a local West Seattle pet store.
